He passed away July 10 1989 in Los Angeles, CA. 

Mel Blanc was the voice of Pepe Le Pew, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, Marvin the Martian, Speedy Gonzales, Tasmanian Devil and many other characters you can name from the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies network (1945).

Mel Blanc began his career when he was a multi-instrumentalist musician, he then started doing voices on his radio program which could not afford additional actors, he went to the Warner Brothers who was in charge of Looney Tunes and hired him for many animated voices. His genre of movies/shows was mostly comedy short-films.
