April 20, 1999. A day that scarred the world.

April 20, 1999. Columbine High School, Littleton, Colorado. This day wasn't a normal, sun, shiny day. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold scarred every student's and teacher's lives for good.

Teenagers Eric Harris (18) and Dylan Klebold (17) started the shooting spree at 11:19am, murdering students who were standing outside of Columbine High School then started moving their way into the school, starting in the library where most of their victims were shot and murdered. Both shooters arrived into the cafeteria with duffel bags full of 20-pound propane bombs set two minutes before the massacre but the bombing didn't happen cause the bombs failed to detonate. About 20 minutes later, Harris and Klebold had already murdered 12 students and a teacher along with wounding more than 20 other people. Minutes before SWAT team and police coming into the doors of the school, Harris and Klebold both turned the guns onto themselves.

Later, Police learned that Harris and Klebold arrived in separate cars 9 minutes before the shooting spree started happening. Also, planned on killing murdering mostly athletes, minorities and Christians. One student, Cassie Bernall, was asked by one of the shooter "Do you believe in God?" she responded "Yes"... she was shot and murder right after. A wounded student witnessed the whole scene saying "After the victim said "yes" the shooter walked away. Police also found journals left by the shooters, here, the shooters were planning to bomb the school for about a year, recreating the similar 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing. Even more disturbing things like how Harris was known for "the callously brutal mastermind" and while Klebold mostly wrote about love and attending the Columbine prom, few days before the massacre. Harris and Klebold were committed to the shooting cause they belonged to a outcast group called "The Trenchcoat Mafia" which was Goth Culture. Officials say that violent video games and music made Harris and Klebold influenced to do the shooting.

The parents of the victims were very angry about how Harris and Klebold put their child as targets in the massacre. More were angry about how Harris and Klebold took their own lives before being arrested by police. This story always has an effect on me every time I read, it's so sad cause it was prom week, student's are scarred from this massacre, and parent's lost their children. It makes you think about how much your life would be to you and others, along with what was going on in the shooters heads when they shot their victim or what was going on in the victims head when they had the gun aimed for them. You just don't know. Many other massacres happened after this took place. This school shooting was known as the U.S. biggest mass shooting in history. Rest in Peace Columbine High School victims.
